The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has warned Kenyans of scammers using its name to con people of their hard earned money.

In a tweet on Monday, KRA clarified that it doesn't charge any money in connection with their recruitment processes.

"Please note that this is fake. KRA does not charge any application, processing, interviewing or any other fee in connection with our recruitment process. Visit (link: https://www.kra.go.ke/ ) to view available vacancies," the taxman posted on its official Twiter handle

This comes after a fake job notice was posted online advertising conditional jobs. However, the offer requires one to pay a total amount of Sh5,400 as a medical assessment fee.

To con people faster, the advert further notes that the government will pay half of the Sh5,400. This means one is supposed to pay Sh2, 700, which has further been reduced to Sh950 payable through Mpesa for faster services as the remaining Sh1,750 would be deducted from the first salary of those who will secure the job.

This is not the first time scammers have emerged in Kenya. They come out every time big organizations advertise their jobs to con people.
