Estranged Migori Governor Okoth Obado's supporters delayed prison warders after court session on Friday for minutes before whisking the county boss away.
Jubilant supporters sieged Obado on his way out and committed him to prayers as he headed back to Industrial Area prison for another 12 days.
Hawk eyed prison officers had little to do than to also bow down for a moment as one of the supporters led the prayer session.
Throughout the court session, and even before Justice Jessie Lessit entered, Obado was jovial compared to previous appearances.
Back at home, Obado is a staunch church goer and subscribes to protestantism with Seventh Day Adventist church being his house.
He is facing murder charges on the death of his girlfriend Sharon Otieno and the unborn baby which he has already pleaded not guilty.
Also charged together are his aides Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero, who are set to know their fate as well on October 24th.
