Speaking on JKL Live, Miguna said that he was shocked after police broke into his home before he received the said cash from the opposition leader as agreed.

He also questioned why he was arrested and charged with treason and detained when he was not the owner of the oath. He revealed that the government refused to release him despite 15 court orders when Raila was walking scot free.

“On that day they attack, Raila and Jimmy Wanjigi had promised to deliver Sh4 million for the work I was going to start. Instead of them delivering the money, police broke into my home using explosives,” he said in part.

He also said that it was evident he had become a threat to both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila considering the political temperatures of the nation during that time. He also said that he was tortured moments after he participated in the controversial swearing in ceremony.

"I was a threat directly to both Uhuru and Raila Odinga. I was tortured in a manner that is indescribable" he added.

Miguna further claimed that the handshake was pre-planned.
