However, 27-year-old Mary Moraa (not her real name) regrets dating one of the prominent people on the Kisii county government offices after she was infected with sexually transmitted infections and forced to abort.

The married woman and a mother of two kids joined campus in 2016 after her husband, who works and resides partly in South Sudan, decided to pay fees for her to enrol for a degree in Education in Kisii University.

With her thirst for sex, money and lavish life, she was hooked up with the county officer who provided her everything she requested in exchange of sex.

"The man was so rich. He would buy me anything I asked for and pay my bills in time. At this time, my husband used to pay the bills but I was pocketing the extra money and using it to stay beautiful for my new catch," Moraa said.

Things broke loose after she got pregnant, which was against their will. Moraa was torn between tricking her husband or aborting secretly. In addition, she was diagnosed with gonorrhoea.

"I could not imagine this, so I decided to travel to South Sudan to lure my hubby into sex so that I would confidently accuse him of the pregnancy and it worked. This time around, I was not aware of the infection I was carrying," Moraa said

Months later, her husband came back home unexpectedly for medication due to the gonorrhoea effects and busted her red-handed having sex with the county officer in their matrimonial bed.

"I don't even understand how things happened, but he busted me my pants down with the officer. After that drama, I was beaten up and divorced, I was three months pregnant by then," Moraa said.

Threatened by the county officer just like Sharon Otieno, Moraa aborted the baby and her education was terminated. She relocated to Suneka with her two kids where she has turned into a day to day casual worker.

"I now live a miserable life and I am a disgrace to the community. From a lavish life into a poor woman. I regret all my action but it is irreversible. Nowadays I passionately hate sponsors," Moraa said.

Moraa has seen working to start an initiative to discourage the sponsors' relationships. However, she remained with regrets for her action and would not like any woman to undergo her suffering.

This comes barely two months after Sharon Otieno, who was linked to the County top boss, was murdered in cold blood.
