The incident which happened early morning caused quite a scare as pupils and teachers scampered for safety even as the fierce whirlwinds kept on causing massive destruction.

According to reports from Aftin Alio Shabura, who is a teacher at the institution, at least four classrooms were brought down in the unfortunate incident.

However, no casualties were recorded except for a few pupils who were injured in the ensuing stampede.

"It was a real scare. The winds just emerged from the blues to rip off the rooftops of at least four classrooms. Pupils and teachers were left scampering for their safety and in the ensuing stampede, some pupils sustained minor injuries," said Aftin.

Immediately after the incident, curious parents flocked the institution to check on the safety of their children. Security officers also visited the school to assess the situation.

The parents are now calling on the county and national government to help them repair the classrooms to avoid disruption of learning in the institution.
