Following Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s second arrest on Wednesday, questions abound over who is behind his recent woes.
Obado was arrested barely 24 hours after detectives drawn from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) raided his residence in Migori and Nairobi.
The detectives were searching for documents allegedly linking Obado to corruption where eight guns were confiscated in his Migori and Nairobi homes.

Obado was arraigned at the Kibera Law Courts on Thursday where he appeared before chief magistrate Joyce Gandani to answer to charges of illegally possessing firearms.
He was detained at the Gigiri Police Station pending his bail determination on Friday.
His second arrest coming a few weeks after his release from the Industrial Area Remand prison where he was remanded after being linked to the murder of slain Rongo University student Sharon Otieno has raised more questions than answers.
His supporters claim that his arrest is politically motivated, a line of thinking that blogger Robert Alai has subscribed to.
In a tweet, Alai notes that Obado had managed to water down opposition’s influence in Migori thus; his latest woes could have a political undertone.
"Governor Okoth Obado is the only person who completely destroyed the ODM grass-root networks in Migori. ODM had to try to recreate the networks during the recent by-election. The only person who diluted the influence of Raila in Luo Nyanza. The dynasties are angry!!!." tweeted Alai.
Lawyer Miguna Miguna in a tweet read malice in Obado's second arrest over possession of guns.
"I understand that Migori Governor Okoth Obado has been arrested by the @EACCKenya at a Nairobi hotel for guns purportedly found at his "homes" in Migori & Nairobi. How was he in POSSESSION of guns when he wasn't at home? When and how did the @EACCKenya get JURISDICTION over guns?" asked Miguna.
