A woman suspected of stealing a baby was on Thursday rescued at Karose village from an irate mob which was about to lynch her.
The woman from was saved from the hands of angry villagers who wanted to lynch her by area Sub-Chief Charles Ouma.
The administrator reportedly shielded her from her looming death by locking her inside a house before alerting the law enforcers who took her to safety.
Mildred Achieng' Ouko is accused of stealing a 3-year-old baby three weeks ago, claims she has denied.
However, according to the family of the missing child, the suspect was spotted by witnesses taking and leaving with the young boy.
But speaking to the Citizen Digital the latter maintained that the allegations are false, and that she is not aware of the boy's whereabouts.
The administrator said that a probe into the boy's disappearance has kicked off to establish whether or not the woman is guilty.
