A middle aged woman has gone into hiding after she allegedly assaulted her husband on Monday evening.
The incident happened in Maagonga village, Nyamira County.
Confirming the incident, area assistant chief Thomas Maeba said the suspect Dolphine Nyanchama, a mother of 2 attacked his husband John Nyang'au after he returned home drunk .
"Nyanchama descended on Nyang'au with kicks and blows accusing him of being irresponsible in marriage. The victim could not defend himself because he was too drunk," said the chief.
The local administrator said neighbors who had a commotion rushed to the home only to find the victim serious injured on his his, legs and left hand.
"Were it not for the neighbors, Nyang'au could be a past tense by now. The suspect escaped after neighbors arrived to rescue the husband but, a search has been launched to apprehend her before she will be arraigned in court," he noted.
He noted that the victim was rushed to Nyamira hospital where he is recapturing.
Maeba warned couples against fighting saying they should use peaceful ways to solve differences in marriage.
