Sirisia Member of Parliament John Waluke has weighed-in on the matter, saying that the exercise seems to have a taken a systematic move against a single community.

He called for more sobriety in the fight against corruption, reading malice in the exercise in its current nature, the Standard reported on Monday.

The lawmaker who is in office courtesy of the Jubilee Party  is now calling upon the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji to come out clear on his actual intentions.

“We are seeing that there is a systematic move to target people from once community in this war on graft. This is unacceptable as we want this to be a clean and fair fight in the war on graft,” he is quoted.

He claimed that members of other communities implicated in graft have been left out in prosecution as others from the selected community suffer victimization.

This, he said, will render the war on graft futile, calling for a uniform addressing of the issue.

"We know some people from other communities have been mentioned but we are not seeing any action as compared to members of one community.

This needs to change so that anyone involved in corruption should be prosecuted," he added.

On Friday, Kenya Pipeline Company boss Joe Sang was nabbed over graft-related allegations.
