Don Bosco Gichana momentarily broke down at Fidel Odinga's grave in Presence of many leaders among them ODM leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday.
It was the first time Mr Gichana had visited the Odinga's after the death of Fidel, which happened in 2015 when he has still remanded at a Tanzania prison over money laundering and fraud allegations.
"Fidel I love and Miss you. I wasn't there.. Today I almost believed you not any more but again I didn't get the time I needed. You know how you stressed Jakom and you reached Namanga with Harriet to see me.
"Luckily I got your text on my phone and told you not to come over to see me. I hear you cursed a lot on your way back. I will come before memorial to visit you. Today was a bit mixed up. Thanks for being there for me...till we meet. Yours Jatelo." https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2222474674656674&id=1673492782888202.
For a moment, the Odinga family buoyed by visiting Uhuru watched as Bosco broke down uncontrollably as he laid a wreath on Mr Fidel Odinga's grave on Friday morning.
Thereafter, Uhuru and Raila along with other family members laid wreaths on the same grave as they proceeded to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology for a graduation ceremony.
Mr Gichana was released from prison on September this year after pleading guilty following negotiations by Raila Odinga with President John Magufuli. He was arrested in 2013 at Namanga border on his way to Tanzania.
