Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka now says he is ready to undergo a lifestyle audit.
Kalonzo said he has nothing to hide and will be among the first to present themselves for auditing if need be.
The former Vice President said he can account for everything he owns.
Kalonzo said there is no harm in undergoing lifestyle auditing so long as what one owns is genuine.
"State workers should not fear if they genuinely own the property they have," Kalonzo said.
He addressed the press in Machakos town on Friday.
Kalonzo said the idea of lifestyle audit is good but needs a legal framework.
He asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to push for the lifestyle audit and stamp his authority in the fight against corruption.
"We will support President Kenyatta because corruption has become a big monster and threat to the country's economic development," Kalonzo added.
On Friday, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua demanded that Kalonzo and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to undergo the lifestyle audit.
Mutua said the audit should be extended to politicians who served in previous government regimes and who have since retired.
