There was drama in Aroso Estate on Thursday after a man, a resident of the area, bought himself a coffin.
Awilo Jasiaya reportedly alighted from a car with his white coloured coffin, sending his neighbours scampering in confusion and fright over the abnormal behaviour.
Jasiaya reportedly threatened to kill himself in the near future, saying that the casket was in readiness for his funeral.
According to the Citizen Digital, the latter who was drunk at the time lay inside the coffin in what seemed like testing whether it fits him.
It took the group 30 minutes to gather courage and approach him as they sought to establish the reason behind his actions.
The incident was confirmed by area Administrator Caleb Obura.
Awilo could be heard lamenting of being stressed by his wife, adding that he wanted to die to avoid the unending squabbles with his wife.
However, he agreed to return the coffin and shelve his suicide plans after the neighbours convinced Jim to seek other means of solving his domestic issues.
The administrator said that the latter is being sought by the police over allegations of assaulting his wife.
