Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has revealed his new year 2019 resolutions to be people of Kisii County.
Maangi while speaking during the Kisii County End Year Dinner Party at Kisii School assured Kisii residents that he will work around the clock to ensure the promises his boss Governor James Ongwae made during the 2017 campaigns are actualized.
"As we usher in the new year I wish to assure the electorates that I will not condone lazy politicians who have been criticizing me and my boss. In 2019 I will work closely with Ongwae to ensure the promises made to the electorates are actualized," he stated.
He asked local politicians to forget about the past and join hands with the county government for the sake of offering quality services to the people of Kisii County.
According to Maangi, 2019 should not be a year of divisive, hatred and clan politics.
"County workers are advised to work extra hard so that projects which are yet to be completed be completed without any delay for new projects to be launched. I wish everyone a healthy and prosperous 2019," he added.
Maangi who has declared an interest to succeed his boss in 2022 urged the electorates to be vigilant to ensure elected leaders who don't perform are shown the door in the next elections.
