Political analyst Dismas Mokua has dragged President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee administration into the recent misconduct pitting Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and his Kiambu colleague Ferdinand Waititu.

This follows a leaked phone conversation between the two on Wednesday, where Waititu appeared to plead with Sonko to intervene, following his wife Susan Wangare's arrest in the city.

According to Mokua, this is a disgrace to Uhuru who campaigned for the two, saying that his team is to blame for misleading Kenyans into electing unsuitable persons.

"President and his Jubilee told us that Sonko was the best and most suitable and the same was the case with Waititu. He should now take the blame for giving Kenyans the wrong people," he said in an interview on KTN's Sunday Edition.

His comments were echoed by fellow panellist Kipchumba Karoki, who said that the two should be punished, suggesting impeachment against Sonko.

He bashed the youthful leader for dragging Uhuru's name into their negotiation, as the Governor is heard saying that he is just following orders from above in the course of the conversation.

"Sonko is a ripe and mature candidate for impeachment. We must rid Nairobi county of such childish behaviour," he said.

Wangare who was arrested for alleged involvement in illegal construction was later arraigned and released on an 80, 000 cash bail.
