It is not yet clear what the purpose of his video was, maybe a show-off or an advertisement aimed at a specific audience.

In a video making rounds on social media, Willy Paul is seen probably in his office inside his new Saldido records with several bundles of Kenyan Sh1000 notes.

The controversial gospel artist starts by welcoming viewers to his record before he went ahead to recall his days in the Nairobi slums, in Mathare, where he grew up before making his name in the music industry.

"I thank God for everything...you know...anyway, welcome to Saldido records, Saldido international entertainment where all the magic happens.

"This is much money, God is good, from Mathare to this one, oh my goodness," said Pozze.

A section of Kenyans on different social media platforms have reacted differently on the video, with the majority of them criticising the singer for showing off, while others are saying it is an encouragement for others to see how God can raise one from grass to grace.
