Speaking in Bomet East on Saturday, a team of politicians led by Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen said that Uhuru seems to be pushing Ruto away.

He based this on the ingoing purge on graft which he claimed is aiming at the DP, adding that the Rift Valley side of the Jubilee Party is ready to exit the party if need be.

"You cannot hide behind the handshake and fight against graft when we know that the agenda is to fight Ruto politically.

Uhuru should come out and tell us he is tired with his deputy and we will call it a day,” he said.

Similar remarks were made by Kapseret lawmaker Oscar Sudi who has been engaged in a verbal war with the president over the last one week regarding the graft debate.

He bashed the Head of State of using the graft issue to victimise the Rift Valley region, adding that they are willing to concentrate on another route if he no longer wants them around.

"We need to tell one another the truth. The situation is getting out of hand and Uhuru seems to be taking advantage to target us in Rift Valley in the name of fighting corruption. It seems President Kenyatta has got another option and it is time he declares it so that we part ways," said Sudi.

The leaders were speaking during the burial of Collins Yegon, son to area MP Beatrice Kones.
