Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has said that Jubilee Party will remove Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria from all committees.
The Majority Leader says Kuria is speaking against their leader and party.
This is after a section of Jubilee leaders led by Kuria had insisted that President Uhuru Kenyatta had forgotten the region and instead was focusing on developing other areas in the country.
Speaking to NTV, the National Assembly Majority Leader said that Kuria and other Jubilee leaders should respect the presidency and President Uhuru as an institution.
According to Duale, all Party members must at all times adhere to rules, regulations and policies of their respective parties.
He said that Kuria will be punished over his conduct as it emerged that Kuria will be removed from two House Committees.
“All members within our party should maintain discipline and discipline for party leadership and respect the party constitution. Moses Kuria was out of order.”
“We will not allow members of our party who the party has invested in them, who won seats because our party to demean the character and the institution of the presidency,” said Duale during the interview with NTV.
Duale said that the Jubilee Party will discuss the conduct of Kuria and errant members speaking against the President.
“The party will decide on which action to take against Moses Kuria,” added Duale.
