Neymar Junior's Brazil did not have an idea on how to defend ruthless Belgium's counter attacks during first half, Kevin De Bruyne has argued.
Undeniably, Brazil was favourites of the tournament but were bungled out by the determined Red Devils thanks to Fernandinho's own goal and subsequent strike by De Bruyne.
And the Manchester City star, reports the Mirror, says Brazil's inability to adopt to Belgium's tactics ultimately cost them.
"I think we switched off things up tactically. Romelo Lukaku and Edin Hazard changed positions and they tried to create chances," said the Man of the Match at Kazan Arena.
He added: "I think in the first half we played well, generated a lot of opportunities and they did not really know what they had to do."
During the second half, Brazil dominated the show and lost a host of chances with both Neymar, Renato Agusto and Philip Cotinho coming close.
However, coach Tite's men were contended with only consolation scored by the substitute Augusto in mid stages of second half.
