The Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary, Monica Juma has put to rest speculations about former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s new role in the government.

Kenyans have been asking questions in recent weeks about Raila’s role in the government, after he has been given priority in most abroad tours.

"The stature of a former Prime Minister in any country is guaranteed. That is why he is receiving those courtesies as provided for internationally,” said Ms. Juma.

She further stated that anybody can be given that opportunity by the president. Raila was chosen as a statesman to deliver Uhuru’s messages abroad.
