The suspects were found guilty of extortion, impersonation and holding government stores illegally.

Reports indicate that the four suspects have been dressing in NYS gears, posing as police officers, and robbing innocent locals in Kombewa, Seme Sub County.

East Othany Senior Assistant Chief Caleb Okuon Apondi who made the arrest, noted that he has been receiving a lot of complaints from the locals.

The Chief said that during the ambush, they busted the suspects’ ringleader fully in NYS uniforms ready for their normal mission of stealing from the locals especially those who come from the market.

“We received a report from members of the public that some of the boys pretending to be police officers are terrorizing people, taking phones, attacking people from the market. We made the ambush and arrested them though their leader was a bit stubborn,” he said.

He also revealed that some of the suspects fled, saying they are following leads with the help of the local police officers to bring them to book.
