Kikuyu musician Tutu Muraya was on Friday laid to rest at his rural home in the sleepy Ndenderu village in Turi, Molo.
Muraya, popularly known as Watutu, died on August 22 while undergoing treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
Music giants flooded the village on Friday to give their last respect to the departed colleague.
The late had composed several Kikuyu songs but captured many fans after his hit song Kahaki.
He has been a constant entertainer at Nakuru’s Utugi club.
Mourners at the burial described the late artist as a talented and peaceful artist who had unmatched humility.
