A big chunk of the payment went to purcahsing motor vehicles. The report shows that Sh165, 587, 200 was used to buy vehicles through various companies.

Expenditure amounting to Sh105,000,000 was charged to a general expense account without verifiable documents that indicate the approved allocation.

Ouko adds that State House and Lodges purchsed goods worth Sh 22, 324, 851.

The goods were remitted to Nairobi before being channelled to the respective locations. Ouko states that we have no confirmation that the goods were delivered to the various centres.

Additionally, the president’s offices paid bills totalling to Sh61, 537, 194 but we have no invoices to back the payments.

The report comes at a time when President Uhuru Kenyatta has declared total war on corruption.

The Head of State is on record stating that he wants to leave a legacy of uprooting rampant corruption in the country.
