Residents of Nyando, Kisumu county were on Thursday awakened by the news of a strange cat in one of their neighborhood.
The family of Ronald Obwora, a resident of the area, woke up in the morning only to find a cat with its ears tattooed standing at their door.
The ears and nose of the cat were also fitted with small metallic earrings with some of its body parts smeared with oil.
Obwora who is a primary school teacher had no idea where the cat came from, but hinted that it could have appeared yesterday night.
“Yesterday it wasn’t there when we went to sleep. I have no idea where it came from. This must be some kind of witchcraft,” said Ronald.
Following the strange incident, Ronald resolved to seek spiritual intervention as he called pastor Fred Obote to help put away the cat.
The news about the incident went viral in the area with a large crowd gathering at Obwora's home to see the strange silent cat.
The pastor ridiculed people carrying out witchcraft activities in the area as he burnt the cat to ashes in front of the public.
