Former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa has finally addressed claims that he is not learned.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Daily Nation, Echesa said that he has great plans after leaving office.
The former boxer said that he is likely to consider going back to school before 2022 to get the certificates many people have been claiming he lacks.
The embattled former CS said that he is still young and he can change his fortune before that time comes.
Echesa, who has been linked to money laundering claims, said that he is still determined despite facing endless woes.
“It’s back to the drawing board - kujipanga (to strategise). Who knows, I could as well have those academic papers that people keep talking about by 2022, he said, as quoted by Daily Nation.
In reference to money laundering, Echesa said that he has never been involved is such a business.
He faulted leaders allied to Africa Union High Representative on Infrastructure Development Raila Amolo Odinga over the accusations.
Echesa also alluded that Deputy President William Ruto is not to blame for the woes that befell him. He said he was grateful the second in command supported him during his tenure in office.
