A former Member of Parliament from Gusii region has thrown ODM party leader Raila Odinga off-balance following his remarks that he will not vie for Presidency in 2022.
Bonchari ex-MP Protus Momanyi said Kenyans knows Raila's tricks.
"He (Raila) can't continue lying to Kenyans that he will not vie for Presidency in 2022. I am requesting him to declare publicly his retirement before 2022 so that we can believe in what he says," said the ex-MP.
Momanyi claimed that Raila is afraid joining his age mates in retirement because he has failed to clinch Presidency.
He regretted that Raila entered into the Jubilee government with an intention to delay Deputy William Ruto's presidency in 2022.
"Raila is focused to ensure DP Ruto finds it hard to become the next president in 2022 once President Uhuru Kenyatta completes his second and last term in office. I recommended that DP Ruto to continue traversing the country and ignore Raila's warning that he should stop early 2022 campaigns," said Momanyi.
The ex-MP called upon Gusii politicians to be focused and ensure the Gusii community backs a presidential candidate in 2022 who will bring development in the region.
