A section of Jubilee leaders in Nyamira County have reacted after Deputy President William Ruto distanced himself from ethnicity politics ahead of 2022.
North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko said DP Ruto is serious in his remarks and focused to clinch Presidency.
"I wish to support DP Ruto's remarks because no politician is interested to play politics based on ethnicity. We are all Kenyans and we must live in peace before, during and after the 2022 polls when DP Ruto will be vying for the country's top seat," he said.
The Jubilee elected MP reiterated that a section of politicians within the Jubilee party will not succeed to split the party.
"Ruto is the preferred candidate in Jubilee. Some egocentric leaders in Jubilee party should quit the party the same way Jubilee vice chairman David Murathe did for the purpose of giving DP Ruto peace in his presidential bid," he noted.
The county MP Jerusha Momanyi argued that she will not stop associating with DP Ruto.
"I'm close with DP Ruto because we share same development ideologies. Ruto disowned ethnicity in good faith a clear indication that there will be no chaos in 2022," she stated.
