Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has condemned the arrest of a Kiambu MCA for displaying Deputy President William Ruto in military fatigue.
Weitethie MCA Julius Macharia Taki and his driver George Ngugi Kiarie were on Tuesday arrested over an image emblazoned on the MCAs van of DP Ruto in full military regalia, symbolic with that of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
Miguna has since questioned the crime which the county legislator had committed for him to be arrested and charged.
Police said that the Kiambu MCA was arrested for contravening Section 3 (a) law on the National Flag, Emblems and Names Act.
He was on Tuesday charged at the Thika Law Courts where he denied charges and released on Sh20,000 bail.
