ODM party is holding breath in Nyamira ahead of Thursday's appeals court ruling in a case involving Governor John Nyagarama (Nyamira) and President Uhuru Kenyatta's chief campaigner Walter Nyambati.
In February, Nyambati lost his petition in High Court before launching an appeal in Kisumu.
And with Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti losing in appeals court and an impending by-election in Migori senatorial seat, Raila Odinga would be hoping for the best.
At Homa Bay, Raila has been thrown to into a dilemma, that would see him facing epic confrontation by ODM supporters, who have been backing independent candidate Oyugi Magwanga.
In Migori, a section of ODM supporters have accused Raila of hand picking Ochillo Ayacko to run for the seat, despite a host of aspirants.
But the Nyamira case is unique given that Mr. Nyambati, who enjoys State House relationship, has vowed to have ODM losing the seat.
During the trial, sources indicated that DP William Ruto had hired lawyer Fred Ngatia as Jubilee plotted to overturn High Court ruling in Kisumu.
Similarly, when Nyagarama will be waiting for his fate, Kisii Governor James Ongwae will be in the same court to await for the judgment on his case.
Both governors have been instrumental in Raila's camp throughout elections and he has often depended on them in local politics.
JusJustice Kathurima I' Manoti will be leading the bench in both cases.
