Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday shed off his heavy security detail and took the moment to interact with University of Nairobi students.

Ruto was the famed UoN to defend his thesis at the School of Biological Sciences at Chiromo Campus.

While attending a function to launch a TVET, the DP said education is paramount.

"Our aim is to have our children get the required skills to survive in the competitive environment and job market. Personally, I was having a presentation in class and I thank God that I concluded it successfully," the DP said.
