Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter has been ordered to apologize to Deputy President William Ruto or keep off both Nandi and Uasin Gishu counties.
On Friday, supporters of Deputy President William Ruto poured into streets of Nandi Town where they staged demonstrations against the vocal MP.
The scenario would turn from bad to worst when Keter's supporters held counter protests forcing police to intervene.
For about two hours, Eldore-Chemip Road remained closed as the two parties hurled insults and threats against each other.
In a video that has gone viral and whose authenticity Keter has not declined, the MP warned Kalenjins against voting Ruto.
According to him, the DP's integrity is questionable and his leadership would make people hate Kalenjins.
Last week, the Jubilee MP flew to US where he said he would lead anti-Ruto campaigns.
In July, he survived ouster after appeals court reinstated him months after his victory was nullified by High Court.
And in most of his rallies, Keter has often accused Ruto or allegedly orchastrating his political woes.
