The county chief who has been operating from his office at the Nyanza Provincial Headquarters is set to relocate to a new one at City Hall later in the week.

When he inspected the office last week, the governor reportedly complained of the costly furniture installed in the new office, bought by public money.

He, however, lauded the new premises initially used by City Mayors, airing his satisfaction with its size and good aeration.

''The office is good, spacious enough and well aerated. But am not happy about this expensive furniture,'' he was quoted by the Standard.

The Governor has repeatedly been accused of being stingy, and has as well confirmed that he is not the type that supports extravagance.

The new office has received a new painting and refurbishment ahead of his relocation.

The County Boss will be the only administrator in the new building unlike in the current one which also houses top regional government and security officers.

Prosperity House hosts the County Commissioner Pauline Dola, Administration Police Bosses and the Lake Region Economical Block offices.
