The family has produced the finest workforce in the country as well as the most celebrated patriots in times of need.

To begin with senator Yussf Haji himself, he is a veteran politician who has served the nation as well as his constituents for several decades in high profile capacities.

He has worked as an assistant minister in the office of the president from 1998-2001.

After the bloody post-election violence that turned the country into a war zone, Yussuf Haji was appointed as Minister of state for defence, a position that saw him lead a Kenyan peace delegation to Somalia to discuss security issues.

Haji is also serving his second term as a Garissa senator.

Two sons of the Senator, Nordin Haji and Abdul Haji, are also keenly following his footsteps as responsible and patriotic citizens.

During the deadly Westgate attack in Nairobi, Abdul Haji was praised as a hero for helping in the rescue of civilians who had been taken hostage by the assailants.

Despite the mission being deadly, he was captured in cameras manoeuvring into the mall with the aim of saving lives.

And now, the trending name is Nordin Haji, the Director of Public Prosecutions.

This is a man who has rekindled the hopes of the Kenyan taxpayers in the fight against corruption.

He has braced on in the fight, touching even the untouchables serving in the high ranking government officials.

Under his watch, several politicians and heads of parastatals have found themselves in the bars, with the most recent being National Lands Commission Mohammed Swazuri.
