Murder suspect Joseph Irungu, alias Joe Jowie, had met Pastor Maribe Mwangi who ministers in Buru Buru.
The pastor is the dad of news anchor Jacque Maribe.
Maribe and Jowie are behind bars over the murder of Monica Kimani at her Kilimani apartment on September 19/20.
Monica had her hands, legs tied and neck slit open in a macabre killing reminiscent of terrorist groups.
According to the Nairobian, Jacque had introduced her lover, Jowie, to her family but they were against the man they described as having ‘anger issues’.
But love is blind and mad; it turned Jacque into a craving beast who knew no world without the man who had melted her heart with chocolates and flowers.
According to a friend close to Jacque, her father, Maribe Mwangi, wanted to know how serious the man was with his daughter and asked when the bride price would be paid.
Jowie, reportedly answered back in ‘his boastful nature’ that ‘nitajipanga’.
Despite not heeding her family’s advice to dump Jowie like a hot iron and avoid him like the plague, Jacque’s father and mother have been very supportive after trouble came knocking at her door.
