The two who are aged 20 and 15 reportedly exhumed the body which was buried in 2010, over a land dispute with their stepfathers in Kabotho West Location.

Confirming the incident, Nyakach OCPD Henry Malova said that the two were angered when one of their uncles claimed that they are not entitled to land inheritance.

In retaliation, they proceeded to exhume the body, and put the remains in a sack before leaving for an unknown destination.

He told Radio Ramogi on Wednesday that the duo had resolved to confirm if the deceased was indeed their father.

They were, however, apprehended and arraigned at the Nyando Law Courts and their father's remains taken to Nyakach Sub-County Hospital morgue awaiting the second burial.
