Raila Odinga led ODM party will work closely with President Uhuru Kenyatta to implement lifestyle audit, party treasurer Timothy Bosire has said.
The audit, he says, will help nab DP William Ruto whose wealth accumulation is 'strange and worrying'.
"You have seen his allies openly oppose the lifestyle audit. This mean their boss (Ruto) is culpable of ill-gotten wealth," he said.
The former Kitutu Masaba MP added: "As a party, we shall support the audit and possibly the impeachment in parliament. These are forces sabotaging development."
Among high profile allies of the DP who have openly opposed lifestyle audit include Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi and Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei.
Should the audit be carried out, they say, it is a strategy to hound Ruto out of office by dark forces within presidency.
"We know they are targeting him through the audit. They have not told us the legal framework bit of it. We cannot allow it," Cherargei had said.
But Bosire says the party will not hesitate to whip all its MPs to back any impeachment motion that could be crafted against the DP.
