Former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru now says she has no ill feelings against Nairobi governor Mike Sonko after he dropped her name from the list of possible candidates to fill in the deputy governor position.Wanjiru says that Sonko had a right and his own reasons not to pick her as Nairobi deputy governor.“I am not bothered by the decision neither do I have ill feelings against the Nairobi governor,” she told journalists in Nairobi on Sunday. The former MP said that she will continue with her evangelical mission.“The only thing I can tell Sonko is that he should deliver what he promised Nairobians,” she said. The Jesus Is Alive Ministries bishop however said that her dream to be Nairobi governor is still alive.“I have big dreams for Nairobians and when time comes I will deliver them,” she said.Sonko dropped Wanjiru and gender activist Agnes Kagure from the list of four candidates for the deputy governor position. While dropping their names, Sonko said that Wanjiru and Kagure had little chances of being approved by the County Assembly.
The governor has now remained with lawyer Karen Nyamu and Jane Weru as the candidates for the position.
