Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale now says that opposition’s National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders and supporters have been living a lie since early this year.
Speaking on Radio Citizen Wednesday morning, the Ford-Kenya Deputy Party Leader said that the alliance died the moment its leader Raila Odinga began excluding his colleagues in decision making.
The vocal leader revealed that the alliance died on January 30, following the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader’s move to exclude the remaining 3 co-principals in his mock presidential coronation.
‘’NASA ni marehemu na ilikufa Januari 30, wakati kiongozi wetu Raila alipoanza kufanya uamuzi wa kipekee katika mambo yanayotuhusu wote (NASA is lifeless. It died on January 30 when Raila decided to individual decide for the coalition),’’ he said.
The situation, he said, worsened on March 9, when again the former Premier excluded Musalia Midavadi of Amani National Congress (ANC) Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) leader Kalonzo Musyoka in his truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
‘’Msumari wa mwisho katika jeneza la NASA ulipigwa tarehe tisa mwezi wa tatu na NASA ikazikwa (the final preparation was done on March 9 and the party was officialy buried),’’ he proceeded.
This comes at a time when Wetangula has announced his exit from the alliance citing betrayal, with Odinga, however, still mum on the heating issue.
