A move by Deputy President William Ruto to jump to the defence of Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu over the county’s audit queries has landed him into trouble with a section of Kenyans on Twitter (KOT).

A section of Twitter users has now branded the DP as the cleanser and the saviour of the corrupt over his trend of defending leaders accused of corruption and squandering public funds.

During service at All Saints Catholic Church Komothai Parish in Githunguri Kiambu County, Ruto defended Waititu over allocation of billions to functions perceived to be the clemency of the national government.
