Kisii county Deputy Governor Joash Maangi on Sunday, April 28, 2019 met with Bombaba Council of Elders in Kisii County.
The second in command appealed to the elders to be at the front line preaching peace arguing that grass root leaders are a key stakeholder in the social economic development of our County.
"My appeal to all elders is that unity should be a priority. Our people need to live in peace so that even elected leaders can have humble time to deliver," he said.
Maangi challenged the elders to join his camp s 2022 polls nears.
He expressed confidence that Kisii residents will consider his governorship candidature and vote for him in 2022.
"As elders am sending you to deep villages to talk to others so that they can consider me when the right time comes as for now, I'm busy working closely with Governor James Ongwae to serve the people of Kisii," he noted.
Maangi reiterated that elders across the county should keep of retrogressive politicians.
According to Maangi, elders should not be bridges between the electorates and rogue politicians.
