A middle-aged man is currently fighting for his life at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital after he was allegedly attacked by his wife's mpango wa kando on Thursday night.
The incident happened at Eburi village in Etago, South Mugirango, Kisii County.
Edwin Matangi speaking from his hospital bed said he returned home at 10 pm from Etago shopping center when he caught Oyondi in his house.
"I returned home after spending good time with my friends at Etago and found Oyondi inside my house with my wife, Sarah Moraa naked having sex on the floor," he said.
An angered Matangi said he descended on the two with kicks and blows before they overpowered him and started beating him.
"I attacked them before they turned against me and started beating me," he said.
Wilfred Mose, area chief said Matangi was rescued by neighbors who heard him screaming.
"Oyondi and Moraa escaped through the window when neighbors responded to Matangi's screams. Matangi was taken to the hospital," he said.
He said Moraa and her mpango wa kando have gone into hiding.
"A search has been launched to arrest Moraa and Oyondi. It is sad that Moraa who Matangi married 7 months ago is bringing men into her house while her husband is still alive," he said.
