National Resistance Movement (NRM) Kenya leader Dr Miguna Miguna is angry with Kenyans.
The outspoken lawyer on Tuesday told Kenyans who frequently ask why he is vigorously fighting for his rights to stop posing the question and instead fight for their own freedom as enshrined in the Constitution.
Miguna is currently in exile in Canada where he was deported after he angered the government by overseeing the swearing in of opposition chief Raila Odinga as the 'people's president' on January 30.
"Some Kenyans are strange. They shout, 'Miguna Miguna, why do you fight for your rights?' My response: 'It would be remarkable if we all fought for our rights. That way, the Kenyattas, Mois, Kibakis, Odingas and Rutos won't treat us worse than flies occupying their pit latrines," read his tweet.
The outspoken lawyer has been in bad books with the government since Uhuru won his second term in office after the October 26 repeat election which opposition chief Raila Odinga and the opposition NASA boycotted.
He has been fighting for his return to the country as he maintains he is a Kenyan by birth.
One of the reasons why he was deported to Canada was because the government claimed he denounced his Kenyan citizenship when he applied to be Canadian.
