As the holy month of Ramadan ends, Muslims all over the world are celebrating to mark the end of this holy month.
Uasin Gishu leaders led by governor Jackson Mandago have conveyed special messages to the Muslim community ahead of the Eid festivities and below are some of the messages by the leaders in the county.
Governor Mandago shared a statement of appreciation and goodwill through his social media pages.
"As our Muslim brothers and sisters mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, we thank God for granting us peace throughout the month. Eid festivities are finally here with us, it is time to celebrate his grace.
"May Allah's blessings and the magic of this Eid bring lots of happiness in your life and may you celebrate it with the less fortunate, family and friends, may it fill your heart with wonders. Eid Mubarak," reads Mandago's facebook post.
Kesses legislator, Mishra Kiprop prayed for Allah's blessings in his statement.
"On this blessed day of devotion and sacrifice. May you get all that you desire for… Eid Ul Adha Mubarak! Eid Ul Adha is Eid of sacrifice and commitment of Allah’s orders.
"May Allah bless us with the same in all circles of life, and help all amongst us, who are helpless, worried and waiting for his Rehmat. Eid Mubarak our Muslims brothers and sisters," stated Mishra.
Moiben member of Parliament, Silas Tiren also wished the Muslim families happy Eid Ul Fitr as they mark the end of Holy month of Ramadhan.
"To our Muslim brothers and sisters as Ramadhan comes to an end, I am wishing you and your families a happy Eid Ul Fitr," reads Tiren's post.
Wednesday was declared by the Government of Kenya through Interior CS Fred Matiang'i a public holiday to allow the Muslim community to celebrate the season.
