Deputy President William Samoei Ruto, son of a peasant from Sugoi village, Turbo constituency in Uasin Gishu county is on a mission to clinch the highest office in the country.
The self-proclaimed Kalenjin kingpin was however once quoted saying that he would be grateful for the ten years he would have served as the DP if he fails to be the next president.
His tours across different parts of a country are clear indications that he is determined to be the president and here is a list of three regions that will assure him victory in the coming general elections;
Coast
This region is known to be the stronghold of ODM party. From this region, DP Ruto has been experiencing political attacks by leaders like Mombasa governor Hassan Joho. However, his visits to this region have earned him new friends like Aisha Juma. He will easily win the coming presidential race if he manages to win the hearts of the voters from the Coast.
Western
DP Ruto's efforts to penetrate into this region has born some fruits. Ford-Kenya party has pledged to support him and this will increase his chances of winning the race should he be able to translate that support into the 2022 votes.
Rift Valley
Ruto is experiencing a strong opposition from Baringo Senator Gideon Moi who is also eying the seat. If Senator Moi will agree to rally behind him, then the DP will be the next president even without the support of the vote-rich Mt Kenya region.
