Kenya's Eliud Kipchoge has broken the world record by winning the 2018 BMW Berlin Marathon men's race in 2.01:40 on Sunday.
The new record beats Dennis Kimetto's 2:02:57 in 2014.
Speaking after smashing the world record, Kipchoge said, "I always say Berlin forever, I will come back again."

Amos Kipruto finished second in 2:06:20 as the 2013 Berlin Marathon champion Wilson Kipsang settled third in 2:06:47.
33-year-old Kipchoge has cemented his position as the greatest marathoner ever by winning his third Berlin Marathon and setting a new world record.
He has now won nine of the 10 marathons he has taken part in.
"I knew he will win the marathon and even break the record," Kipchoge's wife said on Sunday in an interview with Citizen TV.
"He is a very humble man who loves his family. He loves ugali and mursik," she added.
President Uhuru Kenyatta joined Kenyans in congratulating the three athletes, saying they have made the country proud.
