Speaking on KBC English Service Wednesday morning, Weda observed that Raila is most likely using underhand tactics to create a rift between Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta to succeed in the plan.

The plan, he claimed, is to use his current friendship with the Head of State to make the DP feel vulnerable with regards to his 2022 political ambitions, before pushing him into voluntarily exiting the party out of frustration.

‘’Raila has already poured cold water on Ruto through the handshake and the Deputy President is already fearful and feeling vulnerable. With this, he can easily cause a rift between the two and kill their currently good relationship,’’ noted the commentator.

Weda termed Raila as an experienced politician, noting that he has the power and intelligence required to bring the ruling party down at any time.

‘’He has always destroyed parties and can break Jubilee too whenever he wants,’’ he observed.

This way, he said, Ruto who has heavily invested in Jubilee will find himself on murky waters, especially now when he is apparently relying on the party to facilitate his flight to the top seat.

Speaking in Kisauni, Mombasa County on Sunday, Ruto claimed that Raila is now using the handshake to chase him out of the party, in an apparent plan to spoil his 2022 presidential plans.

‘’He chased me out of his party and is now out to kick me out of Jubilee. It will not happen,’’ said Ruto.
