Kangundo Central's Moses Mitaa claimed that his ward had been neglected in terms of development due to his political stand.

Mitaa said most of the roads in his ward were impassible as a result of the heavy rains currently pondering the region.

He said the residents should not be sidelined due to his political stand since they equally voted for Governor Alfred Mutua.

"We're in December and our roads are in a pathetic state, transport now has challenges and the locals are complaining," Mitaa said.

Mitaa addressed the press in Kangundo on Thursday.

"If it's about Mutua, he should know that people from my ward gave him more votes compared to other places," he added.

He said the ward and village administrators should start working, citing that he as an MCA has done his oversight role to the latter.

"I have done my job 100 percent. I have even used my own money to ensure development is achieved, but my hands are tied because as an MCA all I can do is ask the governor to put in use the budgets we pass in assembly so that our people can benefit," Mitaa said.

Mitaa said there's money for development, yet his ward remains undeveloped.

He threatened to lead the locals in a demonstration to demand their rights if his ward continues to be sidelined by the executive in terms of development.
