It was a somber mood in Njoro, Jordan estate, as the family of Susan Njoki paid their last respects to their beloved daughter.
Njoki went missing on December 30, 2018 as she visited a friend at Ruiru.
After days of heart-wrenching search, the family found her body lying at the city mortuary.
The family later established that Njoki had been ran over by a sport utility vehicle (V8) and the occupant reported the matter at the Juja police station.
As the family came to terms with the fact that they will never see their daughter again, who they described as having a bright future, her friend – Triza Angel – was overcome by grief.
The friend regretted that day when they planned for Njoki to visit her for the two to finalise on leaving her Ruiru house to her as she moved out after getting a transfer.
Njoki was leaving in Ongata Rongai and wanted to shift to Ruiru.
As mourners lowered down the grave Njoki’s remains, her father Shadrack Ngige was overcome by grief."Death has robbed me of my lovely daughter who had a great future," he said.
