This, however, comes at a time when the group has been heard bashing the President over his dalliance with opposition leader and Ruto's main nemesis Raila Odinga.

But speaking on Tuesday, the MP said that the team is only worried about Uhuru's silence as Raila seems to be using their closeness to destabilize the ruling Jubilee Party.

"We are not fighting Uhuru at all. Our worry is his bringing of Raila into the Jubilee Party through the handshake, and Raila is now apparently trying to frustrate the DP," he said.

He insisted that despite his repeated declarations that he remains an opposition leader and uninterested in Jubilee affairs, the former Premier is out to destroy Jubilee.

"Raila is obviously up to no good. We all remember when his deputy and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho said that he ordered them to fight Ruto," noted the legislator.

Ruto has also raised similar concerns, adding that he is very keen on Raila's moves and will suppress any attempt to sabotage the party and the Jubilee government.

Both leaders are expected to ran for the presidency in 2022, though Raila remains silent on his plans.
