1. Stops using drugs

When pregnant, a mother should avoid drugs such as alcohol, tobacco, and others.

 That is because, drugs will leads to low birth weight, miscarriage, or even preterm birth. 

Hence, one is advised to quit drugs early enough before also getting pregnant to reduce the risk of birth defects.

2. Eat balanced diet meals
