Earlier on, the Ministry of Education had hinted on releasing the results before Christmas.

There is increased anxiety among over 600,000 students who sat for the exams as they are eager to know their performance and their next step in education. 

In the North Rift region, these two boys schools are likely to maintain their previous tremendous performance. 

Kapsabet Boys

It the best secondary school in Nandi county and has been appearing among the top 10 schools in the country for years. In 2017 KCSE results, Kapsabet Boys was ranked at the 8th position nationally and the best performing boys school in the Rift Valley region.

St Patrick's Iten

It is the best boys school in Elgeyo Marakwet county and the second best school after Sing’ore Girls according to 2017 KCSE results. This school has been performing very well over the past years and was ranked at position 37 in 2017.
